Four Parkland students spent spring break challenging themselves, physically & mentally, through an intense week of hands on fire & rescue training. Boot camp took place at Pender Island Fire Rescue hall. Our young cadets overcame situations that firefighters & first responders across the country experience every day. They came out of the boot camp with a better understanding of what it means to be an inspiration to those following in their footsteps. Hundreds of volunteer hours were contributed by more than 40 firefighters & support crews from Pender & Salt Spring Fire Rescue to provide this unique experience. Parkland students who particated this year: BRAD PROVAN, LIAM GEARY, MOLLY ANDREWS, & STEVE MCCOLM.

New Diploma Course available through UVIC: Aviation Option in Business Administratioin - new course that combines flight training with business diploma tailored to the aviation industry. See Ms. McNamee for more information.
