SCHOLARSHIPS, AWARDS AND COMPETITIONS:

A UVic Advisor will be at Parkland tomorrow - Wednesday May 20 - to take appointments from 8:30 to 11:30.  There is still one appointment available.  Doubling up an appoinment with a friend is also acceptable.  Check the appointment sheet on Mr. Choo's door for your times.

The North Saanich Volunteer Firefighters Association has extended the deadline for their $1500 bursary to Thursday May 21st in hopes of receiving some Parkland applicants.  Mr. Choo has the details and the application forms.

CAREER CENTRE

The Vancouver Island Library is seeking a part time Library Page employee to work at the Sidney Library.  Information posted on the Parkland Career Web Site, or see Ms. McNamee. Fabulous opportunity for a part time summer job!!

Sidney Elementary School is looking for student volunteers for their Spring Fling on Friday June 5th from 4;30-8:30.This is a great way for Parkland students to give back to their community and make connections! If you are a future LEADERSHIP student,  this is a great opportunity. Please see Ms. McNamee if interested.
