SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENTS, MEETINGS, EVENTS

Course changes are now over for semester one.  Ms. Chicanot has gone through the waitlist  and was able to place some students into requested courses.  Priority was given to requests that involved grad or post-secondary requirements. Listen for your name to be called over the announcements if your timetable has changed.  If you still have a problem with your timetable, please see one of the counsellors.


ATTENTION ALL STUDENTS: THERE IS A NEW DROP BOX FOR STUDENTS ON FRONT COUNTER IN OFFICE. Please ensure your name and your teacher's name is on any paperwork you hand in. ALSO, all STUDENT START-UP ENVELOPES ARE NOW OVERDUE - PLEASE RETURN ASAP!


A reminder to all leadership students that we will be meeting this Tuesday and Thursday at lunch in room 112. 


B.C. TRANSIT PASSES have arrived, + can be picked up at the front office during break, lunch or after school.


B.C. TRANSIT BUS PASSES: If you missed photo day, you can contact B. C. TRANSIT on your own to get photo done, and B.C. TRANSIT pass made. Call the Photo Pass Office: 250-995-5682.


ANY STUDENTS WHO want A SCHOOL AGENDA, you can now purchase one at the front office, for $4.00 each.

STUDENT WRITING CONTEST: Sidney and Peninsula Literary Festival student writing contest - DEADLINE Wednesday September 23, 2015 - see posters on notice boards, and Mr. Mueller for information.

ART COMPETITION: National Gallery of Canada is running a contest. Enter by October 5, 2015. See: soyouwanttobeanartist.ca for details.

FIRST SENOIR GIRLS VOLLEYBALL HOME GAME TONIGHT @ 6 P.M. Come out and cheer on your Panthers!


NoThe mezz will now be open at lunch on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday for students wanting to work out and/or complete make-up classes for PE. Students must be wearing proper gym strip in order to participate.


Students who are registered in YOGA Before School and missed class should come see Ms. Dibblee in the gym to get their course outlines. 


ATTENTION all grade 9 and 10 boys. If you have not signed up for SOCCER yet you need to see Mr. Sutton .If we do not get at least 5 more players, there will not be a JUNIOR BOYS TEAM.

Interested in a career in Culinary Arts? Love FUN events? Local catering company is looking to hire Parkland students. Food Safe an asset. See Ms. McNamee on Thursday at break for details.


Interested in being a Dental Hygienist, Assistant or Dentist or Office Administrator? Mature and responsible grade 11 or 12 student needed to work in dentist office, filing and preparing charts. This would be 3 hours a day, 4 days a week, so you  need  an open schedule and strong committed. See Ms. McNamee asap!

MUSIC REHEARSALS ALL YEAR:
Rehearsal Schedule: Jazz Band   Monday at 7 a.m. Band room; Concert Band Tuesday  7 a.m. Band Room; Choir starts Friday September 25 at 7 a.m., Theatre.


The Math Help Centre  will be open Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays after school until 4 p.m. for extra math help. Meet in room 105 for help with any math course you are taking this semester.
