SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENTS, MEETINGS, EVENTS:

Congratulations to the grad committee for a fantastic Winter Semi Formal. And thank you to the teacher sponsors who volunteered their time to chaperone.  It was a great success.

CANDY CANE GRAMS - fundraiser for the Grad Class of 2016. On sale from to DECEMBER 11th!

Grade 12's were recently introduced to the idea of organ donation.  Forms can be picked up and dropped off at the office.  Claremont has challenged us to see which school signs up more students!  See Ms. Chicanot for more info.


Listen up Parkland- All block B classes should bring in:  (1) annual food drive donations in support of Sidney Lions Food Bank and (2) stocking stuffers for teens for Santa's Anonymous. Prize for Block B class that collects the most xmas goodwill donations!

MONDAY DECEMBER 7 - International meeting @ lunch in the Theatre; farewell to some international students!

TUESDAY DECEMBER 8 - Parkland Jazz Band in concert at North Saanich middle school, 7 p.m.

THURSDAY DECEMBER 10 - BAYSIDE COMMUNITY CRAFT FAIR - 3 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. - gifts and crafts, Winter Band concert included, at 7 p.m. SHARE THE JOY!

2016 Fresh Minds Symposium:  FEBRUARY 2016

The University of Victoria is pleased to present the 2016 Fresh Minds Symposium, a day-long youth conference for grade 9 students from across BC. Participants will:

  • Engage in a variety of different interactive workshops and presentations;
  • If you're grade 9 and interested, sign up on the list on Mr. Choo's door.

ALL GRADS: Many new university, college and trade school academic calendars and

catalogues have arrived in the Career Centre. Come and have a look!

Also: any 2016 GRADS applying for early admission, or for scholarships or bursaries, please give at least two days notice to the front office for obtaining copies of your current transcript.

MUSIC REHEARSALS ALL YEAR:
JAZZ BAND - Wednesday mornings, 7 a.m., Band Room; CONCERT BAND  - Tuesday and Thursday mornings, 7 a.m., Band Room; CHOIR REHEARSALS Friday, 7 a.m., Theatre.

BAGEL BREAKFAST: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday mornings, before school, @ blue tables area.

MATH HELP CENTRE:  open Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays - after school until 4 p.m. for extra math help. Meet in room 105 for help with any math course you are taking this semester.

MEZZANINE IN GYM AREA: now open at lunch, Monday to Thursday, for P.E. make-ups and for students to work out. Students must be in full PE strip and should enter through the back door of the mezz. thank you to Mrs. Beaucamp for making this happen!

AFTER SCHOOL TUTORIAL: TUESDAY, WEDNESDAY, THURSDAY from 3:15 to 4: 30 p.m.; FRIDAY from 1:50 to 3:10 p.m. In ROOM 103.
