BLOCK C DOOR DECORATING CONTEST ALL WEEK!

CANDY CANE GRAMS - fundraiser for the Grad Class of 2016. On sale from to FRIDAY DECEMBER 11th!

All INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS attending the Whistler Ski Trip are asked to attend a meeting today - TUESDAY DECEMBER 8 - At lunchtime in Room 307.  Mr. Choo would like to meet with all students at lunchtime today in room 307 to talk about details for the trip to Whistler.

Grade 12's were recently introduced to the idea of organ donation.  Forms can be picked up and dropped off at the office.  Claremont has challenged us to see which school signs up more students!  See Ms. Chicanot for more info.


XMAS DONATIONS: All block B classes please bring in:  (1) annual food drive donations in support of Sidney Lions Food Bank and (2) stocking stuffers for teens for Santa's Anonymous. Prize for Block B class that collects the most xmas goodwill donations!

TUESDAY DECEMBER 8 - Parkland Jazz Band in concert at North Saanich middle school, 7 p.m.

THURSDAY DECEMBER 10 - BAYSIDE COMMUNITY CRAFT FAIR - 3 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. - gifts and crafts, Winter Band concert included, at 7 p.m. SHARE THE JOY!

FRIDAY DECEMBER 11 - LASTS DAY FOR TEEN STOCKING STUFFER DONATIONS!

MONDAY DECEMBER 14 TO FRIDAY DECEMBER 18 - LAST WEEK FOR FOOD DRIVE! BLOCK B WINNERS announced FRIDAY, and prizes given!

2016 Fresh Minds Symposium:  FEBRUARY 2016

The University of Victoria is pleased to present the 2016 Fresh Minds Symposium, a day-long youth conference for grade 9 students from across BC. Participants will:

  • Engage in a variety of different interactive workshops and presentations;
  • If you're grade 9 and interested, sign up on the list on Mr. Choo's door.

ALL GRADS: Many new university, college and trade school academic calendars and

catalogues have arrived in the Career Centre. Come and have a look!

Also: any 2016 GRADS applying for early admission, or for scholarships or bursaries, please give at least two days notice to the front office for obtaining copies of your current transcript.

Are you interested in being a BIG BUDDY to a Local Elementary/Middle  School student?  What to help English Language Learners? If you can dedicate one hour per week for 10 weeks, starting in February and ending in April, this is fabulous opportunity to help others and give back to our community.   This program will be in  partnership with the Inter Cultural Center,  Sidney Elementary and North Saanich Middle school.  Please see Ms. McNamee ASAP if you are interested!!

BAGEL BREAKFAST: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday mornings, before school, @ blue tables area.

MATH HELP CENTRE:  open Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays - after school until 4 p.m. for extra math help. Meet in room 105 for help with any math course you are taking this semester.

MEZZANINE IN GYM AREA: now open at lunch, Monday to Thursday, for P.E. make-ups and for students to work out. Students must be in full PE strip and should enter through the back door of the mezz. thank you to Mrs. Beaucamp for making this happen!
