Do you enjoy working with kids and have a special interest in recreation leadership? If so, this course is perfect for you! Focused on leadership skill development, topics covered will include: motivating others, behaviour management, clear communication, decision making and maintaining positive attitudes towards challenges. In addition, this course will touch upon resume & cover letter writing, as well as interview preparation for future employment. To be successful in this course, full attendance is required, and 15 hours of volunteer work must be completed within a Panorama program or recognized community equivalent. All participants will be asked to get a criminal record check completed prior to volunteering (free of charge).
