Ms. Cristina Sousa is the proud music teacher for both NSMS and Parkland music programs. On April 20th the Parkland Jazz Band won GOLD in the regional West Coast Jazz Festival in Nanaimo. They have now received an invitation to attend the national competition in Niagara Falls in the spring of 2017! On April 23rd North Saanich Middle School grade 8 band won GOLD at the Con Brio Music Festival in Whistler. Congratulations to the North Saanich and Parkland band students and to their wonderful musical director Ms. Sousa.
