Last week, a number of International students joined some First Nations students from both Parkland and North Saanich, on a guided tour of the most sacred mountain to the Saanich people, John Dean Park. It was an incredible opportunity for exposure and education of such a rich culture to such a diverse group. The International students learned about the history and stories of the mountain and surrounding areas, and about different plants and their purpose - and even tasted some!
