IMPORTANT MEETING FOR ALL TRACK ATHELETES - CAREER CENTRE @ lunch, see Ms. McNamee.

Yoga Before School will resume  Tuesday, May 31.

Tuesday May 31 - Assembly for all Grade 11's - Block B inTheatre.

Grads:  Baby photos for the ceremony slideshow are due Tuesday May 31st. Hand them in to Anna or Michaela or send them to parklandbabyphotos@gmail.com ASAP.


WEDNESDAY JUNE 1 - YEAR END BAND CONCERT @ 7 P.M.


SENCOTEN CLUB NOW HAPPENING: every Friday from 1:45 to 3 p.m., in Room 200 - everyone welcome!


SATURDAY JUNE 4 FROM 10 A.M. TO 12:30 P.M. - SHRED FEST TO SUPPORT FORT MCMURRAY - BRING YOUR PAPERS IN NEED OF CONFIDENTIAL SHREDDING - donation of $10 per box - banker's box size. Come to Keating Elementary School, this Saturday, and send some help for those friends and families affected by the fires in Fort McMurrary area.

Important information for Grad -  In order to be included on the grad list compiled on June 1st all grads must:
1) be in a passing position in all courses required for graduation
2) be at least 80% complete in any SIDES courses required for graduation
3) have all forms signed and handed in for grad, including GT completion
There will be an important Grad Assembly in D block on Monday June 6th.  Grads will be given their line up placement and we will rehearse entrance and exit to seats in the gym. IT IS VERY IMPORTANT ALL GRADS ATTEND ASSEMBLY.
PLEASE NOTE: Grads should check the grad bulletin board to ensure that they have all requirements met.

ANY AND ALL STUDENTS WHO HAVE WORK EXPERIENCE PAPERWORK DUE, please see Ms. Ford in Career Centre or front office, and hand your work in, while Ms. McNamee is away.


TUESDAY JUNE 7 - PARKLAND 2016 SPRING DANCE SHOWCASE - also featuring dancers from North Saanich Middle School - @ 7 p.m. Parkland Theatre - tickets $5 students, $7 adults - available at Parkland office, or by phone, 250-655-2736. No reserved seating.

ALL INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS:

Just a friendly reminder to all international students that the Program Year-End Farewell BBQ is Wednesday, June 1st from 5:30 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. at Stelly's.  Please talk to your host families about attending and have them reply to the email they received as soon as possible, or just let Ms. Jocelyne know if you plan on coming!


REMEMBER: if you are an International student leaving before the end of the school year, you must ensure all your textbooks and library books, and any incidental school fees are returned and / or paid for before you leave.

MINI DOUGHNUT STAND IS NOW HIRING: Stand runs at Summer Markets, and is hiring students, beginning @ $11 per hour. Sidney Market, Victoria Market, cruise ship terminal and others. Transportation is important to consider if you are interested in working at all the markets. See Ms. McNamee for further information.


Did you go to Sidney Elementary? Want to give back to your wonderful school? Student volunteers needed for Spring Fling, Friday  June 3rd.  Last year 10 wonderful Parkland Panthers gave back to their community. Please see Ms. Mac to VOLUNTEER.

SEASIDE MAGAZINE: TAKING IT TO THE STREET ROAD HOCKEY CHARITY EVENT FOR HELP FILL A DREAM FOUNDATION:

@ Mary Winspear Centre - Saturday, June 11th, 2016 -  3rd Annual “Taking it to the Street”. Proceeds provide services and support to Vancouver Island children facing life-threatening conditions by fulfilling their Dreams. Fun volunteer positions including: registration, traffic, family fun, set-up, referree, cotton candy, groundskeeper, event marshall. See Ms. McNamee to VOLUNTEER.

MATH HELP CENTRE: !Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays after school until 4 p.m. Please come to room 105 for help !

MEZZANINE IN GYM AREA: @ lunch, Monday to Thursday, for P.E. make-ups and for students to work out. Students must be in full PE strip and should enter through the back door of the mezz.
