SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENTS, MEETINGS, EVENTS:

REMEMBER ALTERED BELL SCHEDULE, for the last two days of regular classes, as follows: MONDAY THIS WEEK: A - 8:30 to 11:15, and B 12:15 to 3 p.m., and  TUESDAY SCHEDULE: C - 8:30 to 11:15; D - 12:15 to 3 p.m.

TIMETABLES FOR SEPTEMBER 2016 can be picked up at front office: at break, lunch, or after school. Please do not leave classes to pick up.

Today MONDAY JUNE 20 -  at lunch meeting and LUNCH for all track and field team members in Career Centre!   Bring your uniform please.


GRAD NOTICE: All guest forms that have been submitted for the Dinner/Dance and Aftergrad have now been approved.  Grads and guests should now purchase their tickets for the Dinner/Dance and Aftergrad at front office TODAY.

ALL GRADS: if you did not receive your GRAD LETTER AND GRAD CLOTHING PROCEDURES from TAG last week, please
come to front office at break, lunch or after school and pick up!

PIZZA SALES @ LUNCH: TODAY MONDAY & TOMORROW TUESDAY ONLY = thanks to Girls Volleyball! $2.50 per slice!


YEARBOOK DISTRIBUTION starts @ lunch today in Learning Commons. Students must have all books in and all overdues paid before they can collect yearbooks.

Ms. Chicanot is looking for 6 Grade 11 students to be helpers at the Grad Ceremony at Uvic on Tuesday June 28th.  Could you please leave your name with Ms. Ford at the front office if you are interested.

ALL STUDENTS re: LOCKER CLEAN-OUT! Please recycle any school supplies, binders, or locks you no longer need - turn in to front office for redistribution in September, & many thanks!


IMPORTANT - ALL STUDENTS:  Due to storage space issues on school computer servers,  all data on student home folders must be deleted each school year end.  If students have any data that they want to keep, currently stored on school servers, they must copy the files to their own devices BEFORE June 29, 2016.  Data will be deleted on that date.


ATTENTION GRADS: WESTERN SPEEDWAY HAS DONATED FREE TICKETS TO GRADS FORTHE MID-SEASON CHAMPIONSHIPS @ Western Speedway on FRIDAY July 1, 2016. Come to front office to pick up your free ticket. Event begins @ 5:30 with qualifying rounds; 6 p.m. meet and greet the drivers; 6:30 p.m. FINAL RACES BEGIN.

INTER-CULTURAL ASSOCIATION OF GREATER VICTORIA invites all immigrant and refugee youth, ages 13 to 18 years, to Juan de Fuca trail exploration, and Mystic Beach overnight camping - July 2016 - see front office for invitations.


ALL INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS:

ALL International students must ensure all textbooks and library books are returned, and any incidental school fees paid, including field trips or team uniforms. Please ensure this is taken care of before you leave for the summer.

The Sidney Rotary Club has a $1000 scholarship available to a Parkland graduate that has been accepted to a post secondary program this fall.  Deadline is noon on Tuesday, June 21st.  See Mr. Choo for an application form.

OAKWIND BLUEBERRY FARM IS HIRING PICKERS! Starting June 23, until berries run out @ $10.50 per hour. Bring your IPOD, listen to music while you work, or pick with a fried. From 7 a.m. to non Monday to Friday, including some weekends possible. See Ms. McNamee if you are interested.


Van Isle Marina looking for two people:Fuel Dock Crew; Yacht Park Support Crew. You need to be mature, responsible, hard working, "hands on".  If you are interested see the notice board outside Ms. McNamee office. 


SHOAL CENTRE HIRING CASUAL SERVERS FOR DINING ROOM: on call, $16.75 per hour; foodsafe certification required; First Aid, CPR,  and WHMIS underway; clear criminal record, and participant in YEP required. Start date July 1, 2016.


FREE RETAIL TRAINING: through Beacon Community Centre, YEP programs. Train in cash register use, cash count, customer service, displays, inventory, pricing, opening and closing procedures. See Ms. McNamee to register.

MEZZANINE IN GYM AREA: @ lunch, Monday to Thursday, for P.E. make-ups and for students to work out. Students must be in full PE strip and should enter through the back door of the mezz.

AFTER SCHOOL TUTORIAL: TUESDAY, WEDNESDAY, THURSDAY- 3:15 to 4: 30 p.m.; FRIDAY - 1:50 to 3:10 p.m. In RM 103.
