This week all "B" Block classes are getting a special presentation in the Library about the upcoming Student GAFE accounts.  If you do not have a B Block class, or were away for this presentation, please come and see Mr Mueller right away in the Library.
 
INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS - deadline for Camp Qwanoes trip is Thursday, September 22. Application to Ms. McRae in Counselling.

THERE WILL BE A SAILING MEETING tomorrow Thursday September 22 at lunch in Room 103, Mr. Roome's room. Anyone interested in Sailing, please attend!

ALL STUDENTS: UVIC MENS BASKETBALL TEAM will be playing at Parkland on SATURDAY SEPTEMBER 24 @ 7 P.M. This is the 2nd ANNUAL BASKETBALL GAME hosted at Parkland. Proceeds go to the Sidney Food Bank. No cost to attend but please bring food donations. Bring your friends to see a terrific night of BASKETBALL!

ALL SENIOR STUDENTS: IF INTERESTED IN DESIGN AND CIVIC ENGAGEMENT, a meeting is being held next Tuesday September 27 from 9 to 4 p.m. at the Pier Hotel  to plan what the downtown Sidney streetscape will look like. Please let Ms. Chicanot know if you are interested in attending this all day workshop.

 
CALLING ALL WRITERS: If you believe THE PEN IS MIGHTIER THAN THE SWORD, if cliches make your skin crawl, if you'd like to take your storytelling beyond It was a dark and stormy night, then come join the Creative Writing Club. First meeting is next THURSDAY SEPTEMBER 29 at lunch in Ms. Rioux's classroom, room 108. See you there!

ALL STUDENTS: to take the SD 63 SCHOOL BUS this year, you must first register. Please pick up form at front office.

ALL STUDENTS: PHOTO RETAKE DAY IS OCTOBER 18. All students must have their photo taken, as these are used for YEARBOOK and STUDENT records system. Please be sure to have your photo done or redone TUESDAY Oct 18.

ALL STUDENTS: please return your intake packages as soon as possible to the front office!


ALL STUDENTS: locks may be purchased after you have your assigned locker, at front office: $5 for used locks, $10 for new. PLEASE COME TO TO   FRONT OFFICE before school, @ break, @ lunch, or after school ONLY. Do not leave your class to pick things up!

ALL BOYS BASKETBALL PLAYERS; JUNIOR AND SENIOR - regular Sunday night drop-in with Mr. Coughlin, runs from 7 to 9 p.m. in Parkland Gym. Please come out for a run to play some pick-up basketball to get ready for the upcoming season!

Peninsula Co-op Gas and Convenience Store opens in November, at McDonald Park Road,  two blocks from Parkland, and is looking to HIRE! Come and meet the new Gas Bar Manager and two members of the Peninsula Co-op Human Resources team.  They will be here to give a presentation to interested students, and conduct mini interviews on the spot.
