ALL STUDENTS: IF YOU HAVE NOT YET PICKED UP YOUR REPORT CARD, PLEASE DO SO TODAY - AT BREAK, AT LUNCH, OR AFTER SCHOOL ONLY. Please note: No students should be leaving class to pick up from the office.

ALL GRADS: GRAD PHOTOS have started! If you haven't already booked your appointment, please go on-line with LIFETOUCH and book your appointment asap. All appointments take place in trailer by front doors of school. IF YOUR APPOINTMENT WAS MISSED for any reason this week -  PLEASE CONTACT LIFETOUCH ASAP!

STELLY'S ANNUAL GLOBAL GALA - THURSDAY NOVEMBER 24 - from 5 to 9 p.m. @ Stelly's Secondary - annual fundraiser for Global Perspectives group helping those in need locally and internationally - this year's trip to Kochi, India! Tickets - Stelly's office, $15.

MINDFULNESS GROUP is meeting on Monday's and Friday's at lunch in the upper conference room. Come and take a break from your busy day while learning techniques to calm your mind and body. All students and staff are welcome!

CAREER CENTRE, CAREER EVENTS, WORK EXPERIENCE, JOB AND VOLUNTEER POSTINGS:

Ms. McNamee will be away this week until Thursday to attend a Careers Conference.  Ms. Ford will be in the Careers office - afternoons - if you need to hand in paperwork.  Please remember - all grade 12 students - a minimum of 30 hours work experience is required in order to qualify for Grad Transitions.

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES COMING UP:
1.  NOVEMBER 25 -  SAINT PAUL'S CHURCH ANNUAL ADVENT FESTIVAL: November 25 from 5 to 8 p.m. - Volunteers needed to prep and serve international foods; set up and clean up; learn to use commercial dishwasher.

2. DECEMBER 2 - VOLUNTEERS NEEDED for DEEP COVE SCHOOL CHRISTMAS FAIR - 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. See Ms. McNamee to sign up!

3. DECEMBER 3 - BREAKFAST WITH SANTA - MARY WINSPEAR CENTRE: 7:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. - share the excitement with young families by helping the Lions serve pancakes and sausage - breakfast provided to volunteers.

4. BRIDGE CHRISTMAS DINNER @ Shoal Centre: December 7 from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. - Host and serve at this buffet dinner for over 100 people. This is an opportunity to spread the holiday spirit and gain experience in  hosting and serving.

ABORIGINAL YOUTH CONFERENCE HOSTED BY VNFC: November 25 and 26 - aborignal speakers, prizes, games. See Ms. McNamee for further information.

NOTICE TO STUDENT WORKERS:  September 15th,  B.C. Minimum Wage went up to $10.85!!!!  Check your paycheque!


MUSIC REHEARSALS ALL YEAR:
JAZZ BAND - Monday and Wednesday; 7 a.m.;  CONCERT BAND - Tuesday and Thursday, 7 a.m.; CHOIR - Friday, 7 a.m. ALL REHEARSALS TAKE PLACE IN THE MUSIC ROOM.

BAGEL BREAKFAST:
Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday mornings, before school, at the BLUE TABLES area.
