A huge Parkland Welcome to our new international students that have just started at Parkland yesterday and today.  We hope that your stay with us will be full of wonderful memories.
Here's a reminder to those new international students - any questions or queries about courses, please see Mr. Choo, Ms. Anderson. Questions about special events or international trips, please see Ms. McRae or the front office, and we will help you out!


ALL STUDENTS ARE REMINDED: LAST DAY FOR COURSE CHANGE REQUESTS IS this Friday, February 3!

All athletes interested in being on the AMAZING Track and Field team at Parkland must attend a meeting with Ms. Mac in the Career Center on Thursday, Feb 2 at lunch!!

ALL JUNIOR GIRLS BASKETBALL players, please meet COACH YAGER in the gym at the start of lunch for a quick meeting TODAY, Thursday, February 2.

REMINDER TO ALL SENIOR GIRLS BASKETBALL TEAM members - please pick up your schedule at front office TODAY!

Are you interested in LAW and COURTHOUSE MURDER TRIALS? If you are, come to a short meeting on Thursday February 2, at lunch to find out about the mock trial competition in April at the Victoria Law Courts, and how you can participate.

This urgent message goes out to all the  grade 9 and 10 students that signed up to attend the UVic Fresh Minds Symposium with Mr. Choo on February 15.  The list of workshops have just arrived.  Please see Mr. Choo today and tomorrow for the workshop details so that you can make your choice by this Friday.  The earlier we submit your choice of workshop, the more likely that you'll get the session you want.

Any students planning to write the SAT this school year can contact Mr. Choo about a $150 discount on a SAT prep course.

Registration now open for TC 10K on Sunday, April 30th. Parkland students and staff are encouraged to register online at www.tc10k.ca to be part of the Parkland Pant'ers Island Farms School Team. Early bird registration only $30 before Feb 15th DEADLINE.

THURSDAY FEBRUARY 16, 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. - COME OUT TO PARKLAND'S ANNUAL OPEN HOUSE! Fantastic displays, hands-on activities,  and door prizes, including Helijet ride to Vancouver and back, and tickets to see a Whitecaps game! Visit your community secondary school, and find out about the current and upcoming courses and special programs. Watch your mailbox, this space, and community posters for more information!


HANDBAGS FOR HOPE COLLECTION: Clean your closets and donate new or gently used handbags, scarves and jewelry to fund CHILDHOOD CANCER RESEARCH. Bring donations to school office until February 17. Donations help local families with children diagnosed with cancer.
