THURSDAY APRIL 13  2017: HAVE A NICE LONG WEEKEND!

Thank you to all community members,  staff, teachers, student set-up and take-down volunteers,  and all the grade 12's who made GRAD TRANSITIONS day yesterday a great success! Special thanks to Mr. Buckham, Ms. McNamee, Ms. Gribling, Ms. Ford, our cafeteria, and all our grade 11 student volunteers - we received many compliments and thanks from the community members who came to do the interviews, for the well-organized day, the impressive grads, helpful students, and the great lunch!


REMEMBER: TODAY IS THE DEADLINE FOR GRAD CEREMONY MUSICAL AUDITION applications to be turned in to front office.

Next Wednesday April 19th will be the first practice for Parkland Ultimate Frisbee. Everyone welcome! Boys and Girls! Grades 9-12! No experience necessary! Bring cleats if you have them. Meet at 3:15 on the upper field ready to have an awesome time!

NO SCHOOL ON FRIDAY APRIL 14 OR MONDAY APRIL 17 - GOOD FRIDAY AND EASTER MONDAY are both stat holidays! Have a great long weekend and see you Tuesday April 18!

The International Field Trip TO TOFINO for International Students is now full. Please see Ms. McRae in Counsilling as soon as possible if you wish to be put on the waitlist in case more spaces become available.

The SIDES help centre has started: on Tuesday and Thursdays after school in the career centre. Come and get help with any SIDES course. See Ms. Anderson in the counselling office if you have questions.

SCRAP METAL BIN IS AVAILABLE for donations @ PARKLAND until Tuesday April 18! Please keep area tidy with your metals!The metal recycling bin is back, feel free to recycle all your metal items now through April 18. Monies raised will support our athletic department. MATH HELP CENTRE:
Monday and Wednesday after school: 3 to 4 p.m., Rm 201; and Thursday morning before school - 7:15 to 8:15 in Rm 112.


ENGLISH HELP CENTRE:   Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays at lunch in the Learning Centre (room 204), staffed by a retired English teacher. Please see Ms. Chicanot if you have any questions about this.

AFTER SCHOOL TUTORIAL:
   TUTORIAL ASSISTANCE AVAILABLE EVERY DAY AFTER SCHOOL - except Mondays - TUESDAY, WEDNESDAY, THURSDAY AND FRIDAY AFTER SCHOOL, in the Learning Centre Room 204.

CULTURAL ROOM TUTORING IS NOW AVAILABLE: Every day after school from 3:00 to 3:30 p.m., in the CULTURAL ROOM. Please see Ms. Mack for assistance with assignments, studying for tests, or other tutoring needs.
