There'll be Pizza slices for sale at lunch time today.  Each tasty slice of Panago pizza that you enjoy will help raise money for a good cause.  Look for Mr. Choo in the main entrance foyer. $2.50 a slice!

NEW INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS: Don't forget to hand in your form and payment for Camp Q to Ms. McRae in Counselling ASAP! There are 40 seats reserved for Parkland but this fills up quickly!
 

HIRING:  The Sidney Public library is looking for 3 pages. SEE

Also, Teens, ages 13 - 18 years, are invited to join the Sidney/North Saanich Library Teen Council. Work on special library and community projects, meet other teens, have fun, develop leadership skills and boost your resume.
The next meeting is on Friday, September 15, 4-5pm
If you have any questions, come see Mr. Mueller in the LLC.

GRADE TWELVE STUDENTS: If you are a grade 12 student and would like to receive emails about scholarship and post secondary application and admission information then provide Mr. Choo with your email address so that he can add you to his contact list.  Some major scholarships will be available very soon.
 
GRADE 12 STUDENTS: The LORAN scholarship is now accepting applications.  The LORAN scholarship is worth over $100,000.  If you would like your application to be sponsored by Parkland, the deadline is October 18th.  If you are applying on your own then your deadline is October 25th.  Email Mr. Choo for details.


ALL STUDENTS ARE REMINDED: LOCK PURCHASE is available - @ break, @ lunch, or after school; $5 for used locks; $10 for new.  A reminder: Please do not leave class to pick things up from front office.

LEADERSHIP STARTS NEXT WEEK! All Senior and Junior Leadership students need to meet in the THEATRE, on Wednesday September 13 @ lunch for the first meeting of the year.


PHOTO DAY: Wednesday September 13 - in the GYM. All students need to have their photos taken - for student cards, yearbook, and possible package purchase. Return all photo package order forms to the photographer on photo day.

NEW JOB POSTINGS:
(1) COLEMAN FLOWERS - looking for a student to make flower bouquets. Each Tuesday afternoon starting @ 3:30 p.m., for approximately 4 hours a week. Must be able to stand for 4 hours. Job starts this week - starting wage: $11.35 per hour.

(2) SIDNEY / NORTH SAANICH LIBRARY - part-time LIBRARY PAGE job openings. Must be committed to quality customer service; provide good verbal and written communication; be able to work with people of all ages; enjoy completing tasks on time; be enthusiastic about innovation and working with the community. Work 6 to 10 hours per week; may include after school, evenings, weekend shifts. See Ms. McNamee about application. Deadline to apply: Sseptember 20 @ 4 p.m.

JAZZ BAND - Monday and Wednesday morning each week;  CONCERT BAND - Tuesday and Thursday morning each week; CHOIR - Friday morning each week. ALL REHEARSALS start SEPTEMBER 18TH, begin promptly at 7 a.m., and take place IN THE MUSIC ROOM. See Ms. Sousa for any further info.
