On Thursday afternoon, Parkland staff and students had the amazing opportunity to come together to congratulate & honour the wonderful Tour de Rock Riders as their team made one of the final stops on their Island tour at Parkland Secondary School!
The crowd was treated to some special words of wisdom and a few awesome 'pump up' songs led by a couple of the Team's Junior Tour riders, one of which was Parkland's own Gr 11 student Desiree Young!
The event was yet another example of the need for communities to come together to support extremely worthwhile causes. We sincerely congratulate all of the amazing people involved in the Tour this year, and quite simply put: YOU GUYS ROCK!!
