TUESDAY NOVEMBER 21, 2017: 


CHATTERHIGH AND CAMOSUN COLLEGE want to CONGRATULATE PARKLAND for placing THIRD in the Camosun College Chatterhigh Competition - fundraising $514.82 FOR OUR SCHOOL! During the 40 days of competition, student from Parkland Secondary visited nearly 4,000 post-secondary, labour market, health, and finance web pages. It is fantastic to see our students exploring their future! WAY TO GO MR. THOMAS and the PLANNING 10 CLASS!

GRADE 9'S PLEASE RETURN YOUR IMMUNIZATION FORMS ASAP! to front office.


A big thank you and congratulations to the grad class for their very successful bottle drive on Saturday.  The grad class made $1250 to go towards supporting our Dinner/Dance!

There will be an important grad exec meeting at lunch today in the Foods room.  We have to get organized for the Grad Winter Semi Formal.

There is a meeting today at lunch for all international students in the theatre - pizza provided - see you there.

There is a meeting today at lunch for all Jr & Sr Girl Basketball players in the textiles room.


Big congratulations to our 4 athletes from the Parkland Swim Team who competed at the 2017 BCSS Provincial Championship Swim Meet this weekend in Richmond, which included 983 athletes from 125 schools! All of our swimmers (Saki Takahashi, Torge Von Der Geest, Brendon Cripps, and Nick Lukie) advanced to the Finals, where they all placed in (or above) the top 16th overall for their events- including a bronze medal win for Saki in the 100 I.M.! Way to go, Panthers!


Congratulations to the Sr Girls Volleyball team for playing hard against some tough teams in Nanaimo this past weekend.

The past 20 years has seen the dawn of a new field in astronomy: the study of exoplanets—planets orbiting around stars in other solar systems. Learn about powerful telescopes and come prepared to see real pictures of other worlds! 
It is this Friday, Nov 24th (ProD Day) from 1:30 p.m. - 2:30 p.m @ Sidney Public Library.

OSEF non-profit group facilitates reciprocal student exchanges between Canada and Europe, general info meeting: TUESDAY NOVEMBER 21, from 6:30 to 8 p.m,, @ CLAREMONT SECONDARY.
