WEDNESDAY DECEMBER 6, 2017:


The Sr Girls basketball team played a hard fought season opener game against Claremont last night but came up short, you'll get them next game girls. The Senior boys basketball team played an exciting season opener game against GNS last night winning 67-61.
Way to keep your fans on the edge of their seats teams. Good luck this season to both teams.


PAJAMA DAY: Wednesday, December 20th is pajama day! We will be having a movie in the theatre at 2:15, after school. Admission is free and there will be a concession to purchase food & drinks. The movie will be The Grinch! All proceeds go to Santas Anonymous. Hope to see everyone there!


If you are supporting the I Love First Peoples shoebox project, please remember to drop off shoeboxes with either Ms. Rioux in the counselling foyer or Ms. Crawford in the Cultural Room. And if you don't know about this project, come see Ms. Rioux for how you can get involved.


BADMINTON CLUB HAS BEEN MOVED TO FRIDAY'S FROM NOW ON!

Badminton Club's new day and time is Friday's from 2:00-3:00 pm. Come play some badminton while you wait for the bus!


DONATE CHILDREN'S BOOKS IN THE LIBRARY!

Help support children's literacy by donating a used or new children's book this Christmas! Many children will not have any great books to read and we are hoping Parkland can help! Please consider donating a used or new children's book until Dec 22nd to help make this Christmas extra special for some young children around Sidney. See the donation box in the Library!


BUS STUDENTS: Notice to all students who have signed up to catch SD63 SCHOOL BUSES - BUS CARDS ARE NOW MANDATORY - come at break, at lunch or after school to pick up your bus card!


PARKLAND FOOD DRIVE: Last day is December 22 - Please bring non-perishable food items to your Block C class. Even better, you are welcome to bring money. Each dollar is worth three items as the food bank can purchase wholesale. Prizes will be given for top class in each grade and a prize will also go to the overall winning class. We will collect items on Tuesdays and Thursdays.


ATTENTION GRADE 12'S: Are you thinking of attending UVIC next year? Would you like to earn a $10 UVIC giftcard? Come see Ms. Rioux for an opportunity to participate in a unique research opportunity to help UVIC redesign their website.
