GRAD COMMITTEE MEETING TODAY - TUESDAY JANUARY 9 @ lunch in the FOODS room.
DEBATE
CLUB MEETING: Thursday January 11 @ lunch, Room 111, to start preparing
for the MOCK TRIAL COMPETITION on Law Day in April. All interested
students are welcome to attend.
IMPORTANT CAREER EXPLORATION EVENT COMING TO PARKLAND:
MONDAY JANUARY 15, 2018 from 8:26 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. for students; 3:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. for parents.
This
event allows students to jump in and try skills they'll need for
different careers in demand across B.C. Interactive activity stations
include: accounting, welding, carpentry,and more. Students can access
career info, tools and services,m and apply real life experiences to
their career planning.
Parents
are welcome to attend this event after school, and into the evening, as
they look for ways to help educate and support their children in
careers exploration. FIND YOUR FIT is part of the B.C government's
Skills for Jobs Blueprint commitment to deliver the skilled workforce
B.C.'s growing economy needs. This
event is FREE to our school community and Parkland welcomes students
and parents to explore the program, and discover how to find your fit
for a wonderful career!
REMINDER
TO ALL STUDENTS & STAFF REGARDNG OUR UPCOMING EXAM WEEK - MONDAY
JANUARY 22 TO FRIDAY JANUARY 26: The exam schedule is now posted on the
main page of our Parkland website; please ensure that you check to see
when your exams are scheduled. More importantly to all students - if you
have any exam conflicts listed - two or more exams running at the same
time - PLEASE CHECK with your teachers as well as Mr. Buckham to have a
plan put in place for you to write one of your conflicting exams at
another time during exam week.
PARKLAND MUSICAL THEATRE: Tickets for INTO THE WOODS are now for sale!
The show runs Wednesday, January 31 - Saturday, February 3, 2018. Theatre doors open at 6:40pm and the show begins promptly at 7:00pm. All evening ticket prices are $15.00. We are excited to announce a Saturday Matinee for our younger audiences at a reduced price this year! Matinee tickets are $12.00. Theatre doors open at 1:40pm and the show begins promptly at 2:00pm. This show is appropriate for kids 6 years and up.
