HIGH TECH U: AN INITIATIVE OF UNIVERSITY OF VICTORIA - working to empower the next generation of innovators in computer programs and technology, through real-world, experiential learning opportunities. High school students can apply to seven week intensive weekend program called THE ACADEMY, offered Saturdays from 10 to 4, on UVIC campus. Learn using the same tools as professionals, gain exposure software development, and build practical skills to succeed in the ever-changing technology sector. Your job is to enter and attempt to buy tobacco or vapour products; document experiences; work shifts primarily after school; be a witness at hearings as needed. $14 per hour; must be 14 years of age, non-smoker, valid driver's license or identity card.
