Sangha Communication

Dear Parents / Guardians,

The Saanich School District is about to launch a new parent/guardian communication tool called Sangha.  We are implementing Sangha because of its ability to more efficiently and effectively communicate with parents/guardians, especially for critical announcements such as weather closures or school lockdowns.

You will receive communication from Sangha in a number of possible formats including email, text and voice message.  Emails will originate from this email address: mailer@sanghapp.com. Please add it to your safe contacts list as well as checking your junk mail over the next few weeks to ensure it has not mistakenly been placed there.  Also, please ensure to mark the Sangha email sender as ‘safe’.

Embedded within messages from Sangha will be its logo:

We will be sending a welcome message through Sangha in the coming weeks.  If you do not receive a message by January 11, 2019, please contact your school to ensure we have the correct contact information on file.

When you receive your welcome message, you will be invited to install the app (available for Android and iPhone users).  While the app will show the many additional capabilities within Sangha, we will be using Sangha primarily to communicate important information from the School District to parents/guardians.  Any additional functionality will be considered once the initial rollout is fully implemented.

You can read more about Sangha here:  https://www.sd63.bc.ca/parents-students/sangha-parent-communication-app-faq

We look forward to this new opportunity of enhanced communication with our parent/guardian community beginning in 2019.

Sincerely,

DAVE EBERWEIN
