Donations of handbags, purses, wallets, jewelry, scarves - all gently used, excellent condition - being collected for charity fundraiser in greater Victoria. 100% of proceeds go to B.C. Children's Hospital, research into Neuroblastoma - terminal form of childhood cancer, and support of local families experiencing this cancer. Donations now being collected at Parkland front office, for auction and sale February 22, Bengal Lounge, Fairmont Empress, 7 to 9 p.m.

THURSDAY JANUARY 17 - INTERNATIONAL BACCALAUREATE INFORMATION EVENING, @ 7.p.m. For parents of students in grades 9 or 10, who may be be interested in the two year international baccalaureate program that begins in grade 11 @ Parkland. The IB program develops inquiring, knowledgeable and caring young people, motivated to succeed. Completion of Diploma program will gain students credit for first year at university for a number of courses. Come and find out more about this academically engaging program! 


2019 STUDENT SAFETY VIDEO CONTEST: Submit your video on keeping young workers safe, and win a cash prize! Bonus prize - aspiring filmmaker award! Deadline for original video production: FRIDAY MARCH 22, 2019. See front foyer board for further information.

ZONTA'S "YOUNG WOMEN IN PUBLIC AFFAIRS AWARD" is accepting applications from women that are 16 to 19 years old, committed to volunteerism and experience in local government.
