PARKLAND GRAD 2019 HOODIE ORDER FORMS AVAILABLE at front office. Sample hoodies available to try on. Cost: $40 per hoodie. Please pay accounts at front office; cash, cheque, credit or debit. Order forms must be returned by Wednesday January 23!


PLEASE BRING YOUR DONATIONS IN FOR: HANDBAGS FOR HOPE 2019! Donations of handbags, purses, wallets, jewelry, scarves - all gently used, excellent condition - being collected for charity fundraiser in greater Victoria. 100% of proceeds go to B.C. Children's Hospital, research into Neuroblastoma - terminal form of childhood cancer, and support of local families experiencing this cancer. Donations now being collected at Parkland front office, for auction and sale February 22, Bengal Lounge, Fairmont Empress, 7 to 9 p.m.

THURSDAY JANUARY 17 - INTERNATIONAL BACCALAUREATE INFORMATION EVENING, @ 7.p.m. For parents of students in grades 9 or 10, who may be be interested in the two year international baccalaureate program that begins in grade 11 @ Parkland. The IB program develops inquiring, knowledgeable and caring young people, motivated to succeed. Completion of Diploma program will gain students credit for first year at university for a number of courses. Come and find out more about this academically engaging program! 


2019 STUDENT SAFETY VIDEO CONTEST: Submit your video on keeping young workers safe, and win a cash prize! Bonus prize - aspiring filmmaker award! Deadline for original video production: FRIDAY MARCH 22, 2019. See front foyer board for further information.

ZONTA'S "YOUNG WOMEN IN PUBLIC AFFAIRS AWARD" is accepting applications from women that are 16 to 19 years old, committed to volunteerism and experience in local government. Deadline for $2000 first place, and $1000 second place, award is Thursday January 31, 2019. Email or meet with Mr. Choo for details and the application form.

FREE RETAIL TRAINING OPPORTUNITIES: spots available in Sidney and Brentwood Bay, starting in February. Classes are 4 Sundays: cash register, counting cash, customer service, creating displays, sorting inventory, pricing, opening and closing procedures. 1. TUTORIALS IN LEARNING CENTRE, ROOM 204:  SUPERVISED TUTORIAL IS AVAILABLE daily after school, TO CATCH UP ON SCHOOL WORK, & TO DO MISSED TESTS.  note: Wednesday & Friday tutorials are best for longer tests & assignments.
