***PARKLAND SPRING DANCE SHOWCASE: Tickets are now on sale for Parkland's spring dance showcase taking place: WEDNESDAY JUNE 12, 7 P.M., Parkland Theatre. Tickets are: $5 students, $7.50 adults. Available at Parkland office, or at the door. See you there!


 *** ATTENTION ALL ATHLETES: Please come to the GYM on Wednesday at lunch to pick up your FREE Banquet Ticket. The Athletic Banquet is Thursday June 13th, from 5 to 7:30 p.m.


 *** INTERNATIONAL FAREWELL: Friday June 14th from 2 to 3:30 p.m. in the Theatre - all Parkland International students are encouraged to come, celebrate and say goodbye to those who will be leaving our school at the end of the school year!


 ***ATTENTION ALL STUDENTS WHO HAVE SIGNED UP FOR WORK EXPERIENCE IN THEIR SEPTEMBER 2019 TIMETABLES: please see Ms. McNamee before exam week starts, to discuss initiating your work experience for credit if you are working over the summer. It is very important that you set a start date with Ms. McNamee ASAP!


CONGRATULATIONS TO PARKLAND'S INDIGENOUS GRADS who were celebrated at Mary Winspear this past Wednesday. It was great to see you honoured for all you have achieved over the course of your education - well done!


BIG THANKS AND CONGRATULATIONS TO PARKLAND'S JAZZ AND CONCERT BANDS for their year-end performance this last Thursday. We have some very talented musicians at our school, and special thanks to Ms. Sousa for this year's achievements!


REMINDER TO ALL STUDENTS: EXAM SCHEDULE IS NOW POSTED ON THE FRONT PAGE OF THE PARKLAND WEBSITE. If you  have a conflict with two exams scheduled at the same time, be sure to check in with the teachers from each class, as well as with Mr. Buckham, to come up with a plan to write of one of the conflicting tests at a different time.


Important Grad / Grad Parent Information:

- The After Grad parents are in need of volunteers for June 26 Grad After Grad event.

- Also with so much happening for our Grads on Grad Day here is a reminder to PLEASE REVIEW the itinerary for June 26.


ALL GRADS ARE REMINDED: MAKE YOUR POST-SECONDARY INSTITUTION SELECTIONS (PSI) before July 12 to have your transcripts sent automatically to up to 25 institutions free of charge through the Ministry of Education. Please note: some entrance admission offers to college or university may be delayed or denied if you do not authorize release of your transcript data. Go to Ministry of Education website, student transcripts, and set up an account to complete your PSI selection, or to order transcripts. After six months of your high school graduation, students will be charged $10 per transcript, payable on the student transcripts service when ordering.

Congratulations to our Parkland SAILING TEAM who competed this past weekend at the Championship Regatta at Royal Victoria Yacht Club. The winds were great, which made for some close races. It was a great spring season of sailing! Way to go team - Ethan, Connor, Kate, Martin, Jack, Tristan, Sophia, Patrick, Jannis, Julian, Carla, Klara, Dylan, Lena and Michael!

STEP UP YOUTH PROGRAM: DEADLINE JUNE 30, 2019. Volunteer opportunities in healthcare settings - learn about Island Health's C.A.R.E. values, policies, patient-centred care.
