BIG BIG NEWS: METAL RECYCLING BIN HAS RETURNED TO PARKLAND! Please spread the word about this fundraiser for Parkland's athletic programs. All metal donations welcome, and can be dropped off in the bin the second parking lot at Parkland.

GREAT JOB AT WESTWIND HARDWOOD: clean up, after school hours, start at minimum wage. Clean lumber shop, assist with sorting lumber, assist on machines. Great for Joinery or Carpentry student. Ideal if you have a spare in Block 4. Apply in person with resume.

TEMPORARY PART-TIME OFFICE JOB OPEN: Arbutus Grove Nursery family owned and operated nursery - expanding team to include office & payroll assistant. Work 8 to 15 hours per week, October to March. Duties include: data entry, reports, scheduling, minutes, filing, scanning and other duties. Candidates must be proficient in Microsoft Office: Access, PowerPoint and Publisher. TRAINING AND SPECIAL COURSES OFFERED:

FOOD SAFE LEVEL ONE: FRIDAY October 25th, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. - $50 - useful certification for anyone working in the food service, food retails, or food processing industries. Learn how to handle food safely. Sign up early - this course usually fills up!


ALERT FIRST AID WITH CPR AND AED: FRIDAY November 22; from 8:30 to 4 p,m.; fun and interactive course give training in reacting and improvising time priority, lie threatening emergencies. Covers all aspects of first aid. Sign up early - this course fills fast!
