Good morning
Parkland parents/guardians/students,
First of all, I would like to thank you for your ongoing patience and flexibility as we have re-opened schools and welcomed back students in a reduced capacity with new safety protocols in place. We hope to soon have more concrete guidance from the Ministry of Education and our district regarding what school will look like in September and I will let you know as soon as we get more information. It is certainly very heartening to know that Vancouver Island currently has no confirmed cases of Covid. We hope that this continues.
I am writing to let you know what we need of all students as we wrap up this school year. Each student is required to do the following:
-
empty and clean out their locker
- return all texts/library books
- ensure that feels are paid and any sports uniforms are returned
-
pick up a yearbook (if they have ordered and paid for one)
- pick up their next year's timetable
Counselling appointments to review students' timetables can be made by going to the Parkland website-->resources-->counselling-->book an appointment. Parents are also welcome to contact the main office for assistance in setting up an appointment.
Final report cards will be available for pick up the first week in July from the main office. Students/parents can come any day June 29-July 3 from 8am-3pm to collect report cards (the office will be closed July 1st).
If your family borrowed a device from the district to assist with remote learning, we are asking that these devices (with their chargers) be returned to the Parkland front office as soon as you are finished with them (before the end of June).
Thank you in advance for your support in helping us get these important year end tasks accomplished. If you have any questions, please contact the main office (250-655-2700).
Sincerely,
Lizanne Chicanot
