PARKLAND DAILY NEWS:

Monday November 2, 2020     DAY 1

Today is the official launch day of the Parkland Track 2021 campaign.  You will notice posters in the school and around the community advertizing this campaign.  We hope to raise enough money by June of next year to replace the track over the summer.  Please spread the word about this exciting new project and check out the website at www.parklandtrack2021.com .  There is a DONATE NOW button on the website for those interested in donating.

Join Mr Nielsen and your fellow students Tuesday after school to watch the last hour of the last presidential debate in an academic setting. Students who are interested Go to room 113 at 3:10.  Students will be able to explore the ideas in the debate using critical thinking.  They will also be looking at the quality of the debate using logical fallacies. Come join Mr Nielsen in room 113 after school today.

Although we will not be hosting our traditional, annual Terry Fox Run this year at Parkland, students are still encouraged to get out and complete the run on their own and/or donate to our school’s fundraising page. Stay tuned for some other exciting ways to run as part of the Parkland School community this fall. Our school’s fundraising page: http://www.terryfox.ca/ParklandSecondary
