Parkland Secondary is very proud of graduating student Anna Hulbert. Anna was one of 55 students in BC to be awarded the BC Excellence Scholarship and has won 5 other scholarships as well. Anna is one of Parkland's IB students and will be attending UBC in the fall to study Geography with a focus on Environment and Sustainability. Her interest in this area began in Ms. Stinson's IB Geography class last year. She went on to do her Capstone project on Climate Change and with a fellow student developed and presented workshops for elementary students in our district. Anna was invited to be on the North Saanich Climate Change Select Committee which lead to her current involvement on the Official Community Planning Advisory Working Group for North Saanich. She is also representing Saanich North and the Islands at the BC Youth Parliament and is the Government Whip and Minister of the Environment for the Island's Youth Parliament. What an astounding Parkland grad!
