MEETINGS, PRACTICES, announcements, EVENTS:
ALL GRADS: planning is now underway for the grad fashion show which is the largest fundraiser for after grad. There is an important meeting to sign up for the fashion show TODAY Thursday January 16 at lunch in room 206. ALL GRADS WANTING TO BE PART OF THE FASHION SHOW, PLEASE ATTEND.

ALL PARKLAND GRADS: deadline to submit GRAD 2014 YEARBOOK WRITE-UPS is this Friday, January 17. Sample forms at front office; submit via email to Ms. Thompson.

PARKLAND IS NOW SEEKING 5 students to provide positive, upbeat, daily MUSIC SELECTIONS for morning music played each day as school begins. Your commitment will be one day per week, beginning Semester Two. Please see Mr. Buckham to get involved.

If any student is interested in a Sister City exchange trip to Cairns Australia this summer, please leave your name with Ms. Ford at the office and Ms. Chicanot will contact you with more information. Deadline for applications is the end of January.

Attention Peer Tutors, Ms. Frith needs you to meet TOMORROW Friday January 17 at lunch in the Library. All Peer Tutors to the library / learning commons at lunch for quick meeting."

Come check out the ENTREPRENEURSHIP FAIR Wednesday, January 22nd in the foyer at lunch. Business students will be selling their products. Something for everyone. All at great prices, so don't forget your cash. This is an event you don't want to miss!

SPORTS, TEAMS, TEAM MEETINGS:
PARKLAND BASKETBALL ROCKS:
Last night the Senior Boys had a 65-64 win over Esquimalt. They engineered an amazing comeback from an 11 point deficit at the end if the 3rd period. It was a tremendous 4th quarter with a great defensive effort. All of the boys should feel proud of this win! On Tuesday they won 86-38 at St. Andrews with EVERY PLAYER scoring hoops! Harrison 13 pts, Nikko & Kobe 10 pts and Russell, Justine & Godwin 8 pts each.

Senior girls played a solid game Tuesday defeating St.Michael's 61-48 for 2 in a row. Kristy 36 pts, Bree & Sarah 8 pts each and Emma Davis was the top rebounder!
Great team effort!

Fans are encouraged to cheer the Senior Boys this Friday and Sat. in a tournament at Esquimalt. Please see Mr. Pires or one of the player for times. Good Luck and keep your winning streak going!

Get your teams ready for Intramural Dodgeball. Pick up an entry form from the gym. Registration must be in by Thursday January 16 to get entered in the league.

The Tier II badminton championship will happen next Tuesday Jan 22 and Weds Jan 23 at lunchtime.
