MEETINGS, PRACTICES, announcements, EVENTS:
Don't forget: WEAR warm clothes today as we'll be turning the temperature down 2 degrees in the school.  This is a Green Team initiative so we can do our part to save the planet.

Gracepoint is filming at Parkland today. The lower field by the tennis court will be the filming location. Student parking lot & the gym will be used all day by the cast & crew. The gym is the only indoor location to be used. Cast & crew will enter & depart through the outside gym doors so as not to disturb the functioning of the school. Thank you to everyone for your cooperation.

ALL GRADS ARE REMINDED THAT THE LAST DAY TO ORDER GRAD WEAR IS TODAY FRIDAY FEBRUARY 14. Order forms and payment made at front office.

Learning Commons is streaming the OLYMPICS before school, during breaks, lunch & after school. Anyone is welcome to come & cheer team Canada on! Most of the live events are on during the morning. See you there!

A pair of gloves were found in Computer Lab 202. Please come to the main office to claim them.

The Minerva Foundation for BC Women is having a Leadership Development workshop at UBC from May 23-25th.  Parkland can put forward the name of one grade 11 girl.  Pick up information & application package at the office.Deadline for applications to the office is Thursday February 20th. Please see Ms. Chicanot for more information.

TUTORING OPPORTUNITY AVAILABLE: any student wishing to tutor Brentwood students:Grade 6 Math & Grade 4 English; please see Mr. Buckham for details.

INTRAMURAL DODGEBALL SCHEDULE:
DODGEBALL GAME WILL BE POSTPONED TO NEXT WEEK DUE TO FILMING.

Basketball results from Thursday Feb 13th Games:
The Junior Girls played their best game this season last night with a score of 26-11 (loss). Special Mention to Pat for being FEARLESS!
 
The Senior Girls 1st game of the Lower Island’s had them playing their toughest competition first. The final score 71-36 for PCS. Top 3 scorers were Arianne Stevenson 14 points, Breanna Clooney & Sarah Gibson with 9 pts each. They play again TODAY at 3:45 pm. Just FOCUS on THIS GAME, HAVE FUN, and show them what YOU GIRLS CAN DO. Good Luck!
 
The Senior Boys had an IMPRESSIVE WIN over Stelly’s in their Spirit Game last evening, winning 60 to 53. Top 3 scorers Harrison Archdekin 29 points, Steve Ehrlich 15 pts and Godwin Porlares 8 pts. The Boys should be very PROUD of their effort. They played a great game in front of the Stelly’s fans. Thank You to all the Parkland Parents and Students that came out to show their support!
