October 1 – CANADIAN LIBRARY AND WOMEN'S HISTORY MONTH!

MEETINGS, PRACTICES, announcements, EVENTS:

MATH AND SCIENCE WORKBOOKS, AND STUDENT AGENDAS ARE NOW ALL AVAILABLE FOR SALE AT FRONT ACCOUNTS OFFICE. Please see Mrs. Wigbers.

B.C. TRANSIT PASSES AND SOME SCHOOL BUS PASSES ARE NOW AVAILABLE AT FRONT OFFICE FOR PICK UP.

ALL STUDENTS: please return your brown STUDENT FORMS and invoices ENVELOPE to the front office as soon as possible this week.

VITAL YOUTH GROUP meets every Wednesday during lunch break in Room 212. If you have an interest in giving money to charities, this is the group for you. Everyone is welcome. If you are interested but cannot attend meeting, please see Ms. Hackman.

46 universities will have recruiters in our gymnasium on Wednesday morning to answer students' questions about admission, program, and scholarships.

8:30 to 9:00 will be reserved primarily for grade 12s
9:00 to 10:00 for visiting schools
9:30 to 10:00 will be reserved for grade 11s.

International students are encouraged to attend as UBC, University of Toronto, and Waterloo University will be represented.

GRADE 10 STUDENTS INTERESTED IN INTERNATIONAL ROTARY EXCHANGE, DEADLINE FOR APPLICATIONS: TODAY Tuesday SEPTEMBER 30, 2014.

OSEF EUROPEAN SUMMER EXCHANGE applications are now open. Please check the website www.osef.ca for upcoming information meetings. Applications now accepted, until
April, for July and August 2015 exchange trips.See front office window and announcement board for more detailed information.

ATTENTION SOCCER PLAYERS: Very important practice Tuesday Sept 30 after school, on the field. Please be ready to attend. The league starts Thursday.

Attention: all JUNIOR BOYS VOLLEYBALL players – IMPORTANT PRACTICE on Tuesday Sept 30 after achool in the gym. Please be sure to attend.

INTRAMURAL CLASS:  meet in the GYM Tuesday and Thursday @ Lunch.

INTRAMURAL VOLLEYBALL SIGN UP SHEETS are in the gym. Fill out a form by Wednesday October 1 to enter the league.

PARKING LOT ATTENDANT NEEDED: October 4 and 5 to coordinate parking at Saanich Fairgrounds for Jewellery Show. Looking for 4 students; $10.25 per hour; 7 hours per day. See Ms. McNamee asap if you are interested.

FOODSAFE COURSE offered by Beacon Community Services Sat October 4. Please see Ms. McNamee by Sept 30;  reduced cost of $50 available if you register early.

CENTRE FOR SPORT & EXERCISE ED at Camosun College is having an information session for students interested in their programs – THURSDAY OCTOBER 16 & THURSDAY NOVEMBER 20. Programs include: Athletic and Exercise Therapy, Sports Management, Sport Performance, many more. See Ms. McNamee for info.

ALL SUMMER WORK EXPERIENCE STUDENTS  - please hand in all completed paperwork before end of this week, to Ms. McNamee.

   MUSIC REHEARSALS before school in the mornings:

    Rehearsal Schedule: Monday (7-8:15am) - Jazz Band; Tuesday (7-8:15am) - Senior Concert  
   Band;  Wednesday (7-8:15am) - Jazz Band;  Thursday (7-8:15am) - Senior Concert Band;  
   Friday (7-8:15am) - Choir .
