PCEC 1000 X 5 CHILDREN'S BOOK RECYCLING PROJECT: More than 88,000 chldren's picture book have been redistributed in the past seven years. Please bring your donated books for children living on the Saanich Peninsula; from ages 0 to 6 years old, to Parkland office for delivery to book project committee.
Saturday January 17 @ 7:30 p.m. – A NORTHERN TAPESTRY – celebration of Canadian landscape and artists, over 400 images, words and music from Canadian photographers, poets and writers, featuring Geoff Noble, Susan Shillingford and Arthur Black. Mary Winspear Centre for tickets: adults $28, students $16.

Game 1 -Friday January 9th: Parkland 61 - Elgin Park 34 (Top scorers Emma Dennis 25 points & MVP of the Game, Ari Stevenson 23 points, Lauren Fanelli 9 points); Game 2 -Saturday January 10th: Parkland 60 – W.J. Mouat 48 (Top Scorers Ari Stevenson 32 points & MVP of the Game, Sarah Gibson 16 points, Emma Dennis 10 points); Game 3 Final -Abbotsford Christian 1st place, Parkland 2nd place Final score 49-36 (Top scorers Lauren Fanelli 13 points & MVP of the Game, Ari Stevenson 13 points, Sarah Gibson 10 points).All of the Team played Great ball at this Tournament. Reminder to grade 12s that any online courses that are required to complete your graduation program must be completed by April 15th if you plan to attend your graduation ceremony. Please meet with Mr. Choo if you are uncertain of your status.

Saanich Peninsula Power and Sail Squadron will present two Boating courses @ Parkland, STARTING JANUARY 13, 2015. Training opportunity to qualify for safe boating in our local waters. Courses run 7 P.M. to 10 P.M. on Tuesday evenings, & include self study & practical exercises. Subsequent training includes ten in- depth sessions for Boating Essentials. Cover all necessary topics to plan & carry out safe navigation, anchoring & cruising in our local waters. Course costs reduced for Parkland students.
