Camosun is hosting a Comic Arts Conference on Saturday April 11 at Lansdowne campus. Admission is free. Who's Who event in the world of comics and graphic novels. Superheroes of Victoria will be there as live models for people to draw. See Camoens website for details.

Ben Sammons - 1st in 300 m Hurdle, 1st in 200 m
Sarah Gibson - 1st in Javelin, 4th in shot put
Emma Dennis - 2nd in Javelin, 3rd in shot put
Jacqueline Gaby - 1st in 1500m Race Walk

Congratulations to Senior Girls Soccer team who had their first game & win this week with a 9-0 victory over SMS. Vanessa Guerra & Jeanna Sheppard shared the shut out & goals were scored by Sarah Gibson (4), Charlotte Junker (2), Zoe King, Paris Stratton & Erin Pomphrey. The whole team had an amazing game of beautiful passing. Well done ladies!

OPEN GYM BADMINTON FOR ANYONE WHO WANTS TO PLAY ON FRIDAYS AFTER SCHOOL.
Parkland Terry Fox Run takes place on April 13th at 9:00 & 2:00. PE classes in A and D block and any other interested students welcome to participate. Course will be either a 1.2K walk or 2 loop (2.4K) run around Parkland and into Blue Heron forest.Students can go to the PE office if they would like pledge forms or they can register online.

Application forms for the Parkland Community scholarships now available from Mr. Choo. These scholarships for achievement in non academic areas such as Judo, Carpentry, Musical Theatre or volunteer work have a deadline of Thursday April 30th.
The $1500 Major Gerry Edwards Scholarship is available to a student that has demonstrated community leadership and outstanding volunteer efforts. The deadline is Friday, May 1st. See Mr. Choo for details.
BEACON COMMUNITY SERVICES SCHOLARSHIP AWARD OF $1500 available to those who have demonstrated community service. Deadline May 1. See Mr. Choo or Beacon Community Services for submission requirements.
