Yesterday, Desiree had the rare opportunity of representing the Canadian Cancer Society as a patient advocate. She was invited to meet with the Premier, John Horgan, and three executives of the Canadian Cancer Society.
Desiree has been closely connected with the Canadian Cancer Society over the past 12 years, through the community of Camp Goodtimes and other patient services. Desiree has also been closely connected to the CCS through her yearly commitment as a Junior Rider with Tour de Rock.
The Premier was very supportive and encouraging. He expressed his gratitude for the great work Desiree is doing in her role.
