ATHLETICS, SPORTS TEAMS, TEAM MEETINGS AND ANNOUNCEMENTS

CONGRATULATIONS TO THE TRACK AND FIELD TEAM AT CITY FINALS! Everyone had a fabulous meet Wednesday with some having a PERSONAL BEST! BEN SAMMONS was recognized as the Top Male on the Track, of the entire Track and Field League, for his 1st in 400 metre, and wins in 200 metre, and 5th in 100 metre. MISAKI AKUTAGAWA was recognized as the Top Woman in the Field Events for the City Finals, with a First Place in Javelin with a throw of 36.80 - beting the nearest competitor by 6 meters!

AT THE MEET YESTERDAY - MAY 9, 2018:

BEN SAMMONS - 1st in Senior Boys 400 metre, and 2nd in Boys 200 metre, 5th in 100 metre; MISAKI AKUTAGAWA - 1st in Girls Javelin.

COOPER LANGARD - 2nd in Senior Boys 1500 metre; LEONA YAO - 7th in Long Jump; 5th in Triple Jump; ALEXIS VANDEN BULK - 1st in Grade 9 Girls Discus; 2nd in 200 metre; AVA BLAKELY - 4th in Grade 9 Girls - 1500 metre; BOYS RELAY TEAM - COOPER LANGARD, BEN SAMMONS, JON COWLY, AND CONNER MCCULLOUGH - 4th in the City! NEW: FAMILY HELPER, DINNER PREP / MAKING, clean-up  - two days a week, three hours per day from 4 to 7 p.m.; @ $15 per hour.

4. URBAN BEE - Grade 12 or graduated student wanted as BEEKEEPER'S ASSISTANT - attending college or university in September. Ideal candidate energetic multi-tasker who enjoys working with others, with some beekeeping knowledge. All gear provided. Job could continue part-time in the fall. Accommodations monthly, while work continues. $12.65 per hour, apply with cover letter.

1. ROOM 201, EACH DAY FOR 1 HOUR AND FIFTEEN MINUTES, with Mr. Morley - available to help students with MATH, CALCULUS, SCIENCE, PHYSICS, CHEMISTRY. OPEN to all students, including those working on SIDES courses.

2. TUTORIALS IN LEARNING CENTRE: REMINDER TO ALL TEACHERS AND STUDENTS - TUTORIAL IS AVAILABLE daily after school.                                            Wednesday & Friday tutorial times are best for longer tests & assignments.
3. LEARNING COMMONS SUPPORT: Monday, Tuesday & Thursday day after school until 3:40 p.m., Wednesday   & Friday until 3:35 p.m.                                    PLEASE NOTE: ELL TUTOR also available Wednesday & Friday after school.

4. MATH & SCIENCE HELPavailable every day after school in Room 208.
