CHRISTMAS CANNED FOOD DRIVE has started: Bring in a donation! DONATIONS WILL BE COLLECTED IN BLOCK C CLASSES - PRIZES AWARDED FOR THE TOP CLASS! All donations will be given to the Sidney Lions Food Bank!


PARKLAND HOSTS THE CANADIAN COAST GUARD - THURSDAY DECEMBER 6 - special display at lunch; afternoon classroom visits. Info about Coast Guard Officer Training, in Marine Engineering and Marine Navigation. In four year program, the officer cadet receives tuition free education,  training allowance, free room and board, textbooks and uniforms, medical and dental coverage. Upon completion of four year program - guaranteed employment with Canadian Coast Guard. Students who excel in math and sciences, who are seeking adventure and opportunity to serve their country, are encouraged to apply. Meet Christiane Carrier Kennedy, Recruitment Officer!

HIGH TECH U: AN INITIATIVE OF UNIVERSITY OF VICTORIA - working to empower the next generation of innovators in computer programs and technology, through real-world, experiential learning opportunities. High school students can apply to seven week intensive weekend program called THE ACADEMY, offered Saturdays from 10 to 4, on UVIC campus. Learn using the same tools as professionals, gain exposure software development, and build practical skills to succeed in the ever-changing technology sector. Test drive a career in high-tech, work in an interdisciplinary team to build and deploy a custom web application. You may qualify for application to a paid SUMMER INTERNSHIP!
