Jr. Hockey
The Junior Program
The Junior program is for students enrolled in grades 8 and 9 at Parkland and in the past 2 years Stelly's and Claremont.
The Juniors are on ice 3 days per week.
The Junior Academy students are in PE class 2 days per week at their home schools (Parkland 8:25 to 9:47 am) (Stelly's 8:30 - 9:55 am) (Claremont 8:00 - 8:55 am)
Grade 9 Academy students earn 4 credits for PE 9 and 4 credits for Hockey Skills 9.
Grade 8 Academy students earn 4 credits for Hockey Skills 8.
The Jr. Academy is the first block of the day and they will be transported back to the school by School Transit for their academic classes.
The Hockey Skills Credits obtained in the program are recognized by the Ministry of Education, therefore are recognized as graduation requirements.
Academy students are engaged with regular School classes in the remaining 3 blocks of instructional time.
